Voice Advantage allows you to conduct real-time face-to-face interviews.

Adobe Flash

Voice Advantage Life Interviews require Adobe Flash version 11 or higher to be installed on your computer to allow proper access to your webcam and microphone.

If you see this error screen when you begin your Live Interview setup, you do not have a current version of Adobe Flash properly installed and will need to correct this before you can move forward.

Install Adobe Flash

Check which version of Adobe Flash you have installed on your computer.

Webcam Setup

If you have Adobe Flash properly installed but you cannot see yourself, there are several options to address the issue.

Make sure you have the correct camera selected

  1. First, it is important to check and make sure you have the correct webcam selected. To check this, right click you mouse on the blank window where your webcam view should be to access Adobe Flash settings.

  1. In the Adobe Flash settings dialog, click the webcam icon and select the appropriate camera from the drop-down.

  1. If you do not see the webcam you wish to use for your interview listed in the drop-down, your webcam may not be properly installed. Refer to the manufacturer’s documentation to review proper installation.

Ensure your webcam is not being blocked or used by other programs

Some computer programs are blocking the browser from gaining access to the webcam. The two most notorious examples are anti-virus software like Nortons, or an installed program meant specifically to manage the camera.

  1. Close any other program like Skype or instant messaging software that may be accessing the camera.
  2. Click the Start Over button and repeat the setup process.
  3. If you still do not see yourself, check your anti-virus software firewall settings to see if it is blocking your webcam. In some cases, you may need to temporarily disable your anti-virus software to proceed.
  4. Click the Start Over button and repeat the setup process.
